Annika Edge (Project Manager), Irene Segura (Project Manager); Matthew James Belfield (Communications Manager) of XTRAX, and Bettina Linstrum, (ArtsAgenda and a specialist in the street arts sector in Germany) attended the Internationales Straßentheater Festival Holzminden in Germany from the 1st to the 5th of June.

As part of the collaboration, XTRAX supported the festival to present four UK shows: If I could I would by Mimbre; Captive by Motionhouse; Ye Gods by Whalley Range All Stars; Belonging(s) by Tilted Productions. If I could I would won the public vote for the audiences’ favourite show – so big congratulations to Mimbre.

In addition to these four companies, XTRAX organised pitching sessions from five UK companies about hi-quality shows: All at Sea & Vessel by Acrojou; BLOCK by NoFit State Circus & Motionhouse, Ear Trumpet by Gobbledegook Theatre, VR Playground by The Thrill Laboratory and Witness This by Company Chameleon. These presentations were followed by a very successful networking / break session which gave artists, producers and promoters a chance to meet and network. The UK Focus was followed by pitches from seven German Artists.,

Overall, this collaboration supported nine individual UK companies to present ten outdoor projects.

The activity in Holzminden is part of Platform 4:UK, a programme, designed to support the international promotion and export of UK street arts. Supported by Arts Council England through the International Showcasing Fund.
