It’s going to be ‘So British!’ at Les Accroche-Cœurs – 8-10 September

XTRAX has been working with Les Accroche-Cœurs Festival in Angers, France and helping to shape a programme which features four UK outdoor arts companies. We hope you’ll join us as we celebrate the best of British in the backdrop of one of Frances leading celebrations of street arts and circus.

The world-class UK shows programmed as part of the festival and suitable for international touring are:

As The World Tipped by Wired Aerial Theatre – 8 & 9 September – only chance to see the show in France this year.
Trolleys by C-12 Dance Theatre Company
Phone Box by Corey Baker Dance
▪ Walkabout shows from Natural Theatre Company

There will also be live music from UK band Tankus The Henge.

Professional’s meetings:
This year, two professional meetings will take place:

Saturday the 9th of September (10:30 – 12:30)
A meeting dedicated to facilitating networking between Street Arts programmers and companies from the Pays de la Loire region. The aim of this meeting is to promote and support creativity in the performing arts sector in the region, under the flagship Street Arts event in the region, Accroche-Coeurs festival.

Sunday the 10th of September (10:00 – 12:30)
Co-hosted by XTRAX and the City of Angers, the second meeting is dedicated to facilitating relationship-building between France and the UK. There will be presentations about up and coming works by British companies. There will also be a presentation on the UK sector and the chance to explore the possibilities for future Franco-British collaborations.

The XTRAX team will give an overview of the Outdoor Arts in the UK and the companies that have performed in the festival. Professionals will then be treated to short presentations by three UK companies on works to be premiered in 2018:

The Exploded Circus by Mimbre
The Road by Stopgap Dance Company
Sense of Unity (a British-German collaboration) by Worldbeaters & Dundu

There will also be Informal networking around a glass of traditional British Pimms.
