An adventurous outdoor circus show for all the family – followed by an interactive workshop for babies, toddlers, grandparents and everyone in between!
The Jules Verne’s classic is given a tactile circus twist in this colourful acrobatic adventure, sensitively introducing young audiences to the issues of our time such as climate change. This immersive piece is aimed in particular at engaging young children, families and those with learning and physical disabilities. The performance is suitable for both outdoor and indoor venues.
Follow our hero Phileas Fogg as he ventures around the planet, riding elephants, rushing through the rainforest and across oceans to win his wager. On his way, he’ll witness some of the dangers our planet faces because of modern travel and make unexpected connections and new friends. The adventurous narrative, full of skilled acrobatics unfolds with bubbles, confetti, flags and the eclectic sounds of steamboats, waves, trains and jungles.
This forty minute piece with a cast of six is ideal for outdoor venues.
Following the performance, audience members are able to give into their curiosity and join the cast to play on the big-rig Aerial Playground. People of all ages and abilities are encouraged to try aerial hoop, hammock and skills on the ladder, with hula hoop, juggling and toys for really little ones.
To ensure our Big-rig Aerial playground is Covid secure, all activities can be sanitised in thirty seconds in order to make it safe for the next person. Hoops, aluminium ladders and truss used in the show are counterweighed with new harnesses and hula hoops, juggling balls and crash mats are all instantly sanitisable. All activities can be socially distanced and we have innovative ways of marking the space. Facilitators will be masked and there will be disposables for participants. All performers and the director are trained in wheelchair facilitation and BSL to Level 2.
The performance itself can be distanced from the audience and the rig is sanitised before use by audience members.
