Bird Rave sees a team of live artists interpreting bird movements in an interactive “dancefloor ornithology” performance to classic “rave” music. A site-responsive, interactive show in which artists in extraordinary costumes explore themes of bird-watching, migration and group dynamics, recreating the choreography of nature (e.g. bird flock “murmurations”) to a soundtrack of classic rave music. In addition to being a highly visual reflection of the “dance” of nature, Bird Rave is a celebration of rave music and the “freedom to dance” days of early rave, focused on tracks which incorporate bird sounds. This is a ‘rave’ for all the family – a celebration of unity and self-expression – which can be uniquely viewed or experienced by audiences. Starring live artists Miss High Leg Kick, Harold Offeh, Abi Cunliffe, Steve Nice, Yoko Nishimura, Richard DeDomenici and Richard Layzell, as well as two younger guest artists Reggie Roberts (14 years old) and Luciana Hutt (10 years old).
