The plot of the spectacle takes place in the seventeenth-century town in southern Europe. The inhabitants are involved in winegrowing and wine production. At the end of each wine season the mayor announces a competition for the best wine. Wine that wins, gets the name \”In Vino Vitae\” and is sold throughout the whole region. The vineyard in which it has been produced covers itself with glory. Legend tells that the one who takes a gulp of this wine, will live forever in happiness and prosperity.
No one has so far been lucky to find this exceptional grape, but the inhabitants strongly believe in its existence and every year they gather at the town square to start the search. Two families strongly conflicted with each other – Jotti and Notti – are in lead in the search and wine production.
The perennial competition has become a driving force for the existence of two enemy vineyards, which simply divided the city among themselves. The fight between them has grown stronger and the obsessive hunger to gain the \\\”In Vino Vitae\\\” laurels pushes them to more brutal and unfair methods.
But there is something that can thwart the plans of the family leaders. The daughter of the head of the Jotti family and the son of the head of the Notti family meet for secret trysts. For them, the most important thing is love, but will this love stand the ordeals?
Can love overcome fear, lust of power and fame?
Can two lovers stand up to the entire city?
The spectacle has been produced with a flourish.
twelve-member realization team (including ten actors) takes the viewer to a magical world where with almost microscopic precision all range of human behavior can be seen: desires, joy, fear, strength, craving, love, fight.
