Infiltration

If Jackie Chan met Charlie Chaplin and they made a live action spy thriller adaptation of Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon set during the Cold War, you would get Infiltration!

Infiltration is a 30-minute outdoor aerial combat show from Badoosh that uses innovative techniques with counter-weighting and flying systems to create an exciting new style of combat performance.

The show is a comedic interpretation of the cyclical nature and futility of the Cold War (which we are dangerously close to repeating again) and how nation states use spies to try and gain the upper hand. Set in an office, the show will be split into 3 different time periods – the 1960’s, 70’s and 80’s. Offices are the site of many attempts to steal secrets and are easily altered to reflect the changing time periods. Infiltration will portray the realism of fight scenes seen in films but through live action and without the blockbuster budgets. Using comedy and entertainment, the show also provides a lighthearted-way of passing comment on the current political climate.

Infiltration is inspired by fast-paced action films, 60s spy shows and the satire of the early Bond films. It draws on Jackie Chan’s signature use of found objects as weapons (brooms, ladders etc), as well as featuring wirework, martial arts, free running & acrobatics that are often seen in spy films. The show draws on these influences to create a comic, dynamic and high-tempo production with exciting new aerial techniques audiences won’t have seen before.
