La Figure du Gisant searches for mystical places at the crack of dawn or at dusk.
Places surrounded by buildings, courtyards, abandoned spaces, museums, abbeys and even cemeteries.
Cie Pernette, together with local amateur dancers, transform these sites and create a mythical experience for the audience.
The performance is inspired by the ‘gisant’; the recumbent statue.
What would happen if these ‘gisants’ were brought back to life?
In La Figure du Gisant, the public is taken onto a walk through these mystical places and finds itself for a while in a mysterious twilight zone.
