Three caravans, in each a different world, but part of an experience shared across cultures – the British seaside resort.

Each caravan has been transformed into a bespoke immersive space and is an integral part of the whole theatrical experience. Life’s A Beach is exible and suitable as a stand alone production or as part of a programme of outdoor events and festivals. The production has been structured in such a way that an audience can either see all three shows in sequence or can experience just one of the caravan performances although there is a narrative link between all three caravans. From our experience when all caravans are available audiences are keen to see all three performances and dependent on the length of the run will return on subsequent days to ensure they do so.
Life’s A Beach is inspired by stories that have been gathered from residents of Skegness and seasonal visitors to British seaside resorts from the Black Country and beyond. As with all of Black Country Touring productions the work includes a diverse range of voices, experiences and artists re ective of contemporary British society.
