L’uomo (translating in Italian as ’The Man’) is a short dance theatre duet that tells a story of two men struggling to articulate their feelings for one-another, created using real-life accounts from LGBTQ+ people about public displays of affection.
Caught between a place where moments driven by the heart-felt become entangled with the discomforts of prejudice, L’uomo examines and highlights the concerns same-sex couples can still face when holding hands or showing affection in public.
