Moby Dick

The square is empty, looks like a desert. Actors and musicians suddenly will get inside the square from different places holding big scene objects (trolleys, beams, ropes, ladders, sails, barrels).
The actors and the musicians, during the play, will create a huge ship. The audience probably will be organized in a circle all around the scene, being part of a real boatyard with borders and appropriate lights; the audience will become an alert eye on the building up of the famous whaler. Big scenic element will be a movable stage, pulled by the actors, it will be the platform of the ship that will be built up during the play.
The construction will be studied to become “the show” for the audience that will listen to the crew adventures and see the creation of the huge ship.The whaling ship will be completed by a scenic motion and it will turn into the great White Whale.
The horrible creature, the monster, the other, the unknown, the fear will show all its beauty.
The beauty of wonder and amazement watching unkowingly the building up and transformation of the ship in whale.
