Picture the scene. A sofa pops up in a public space. What follows is a playful, interactive celebration of movement – our dancers bounce, wheel and jump, using the sofa and inspiration
from the audience to explore dance in all its forms.
This spirited, comic piece is set to the tunes of a trombone player, donning a pink tutu!
This new 30-minute piece challenges perceptions of who can dance; the performance creates an opportunity for disabled artists and young people to interact, encouraging young people to view disability and diversity in a positive way.
As part of the structure of the piece, our performers and musician erupt into varying comic set pieces. From the iconic bolero to street dance, ska to contemporary, these moments add
humour, colour and attract a crowd.
Sprung is a lively and playful piece which thrives off direct interaction with our audience. It stretches the work of the company into the territory of non-verbal work and pop-up
performance; enriching our existing outdoor palette whilst celebrating everybody’s ability to dance.
