Would the past have been different if the future had arrived before? The Steampunk is a traditional branch of fantasy and science fiction novelistic that introduces an anachronistic technology in an historical setting. The reference period is often the 19th century Victorian London.
The artistic intention is to realize an itinerant theater performance, integrating circus abilities of its characters (acting, clown, stilts, mime, acrobatic, tightrope walking, juggling, singing and music playing) in a narration where different urban architectures aren’t just backdrops, but alive and active scenes. This bond between theater, circus and city architectures can open new narrative opportunities and a new conception of total fruition.
That means we are going to need windows, balconies, wall to scale and public places to get in, in order to experience the possibilities of relationship with local people. To find the keys to create the proper confidentiality. To create an exchange. To construct participation.
Ten characters, with heroic and despairing nature, offer themselves as volunteers for an enterprise. Ten human beings prepared for worst in the fantastic world, but maladjusted to the real one. So that begins the travel of the Steampunk Parade.
