Avanti and Artzani have a combined experience in excess of fifty years in making and performing Street Arts, both companies have a deep commitment to working outside and a proven track record of doing so.
In 2013 we decided to work on a significant collaboration to experiment and develop new approaches to our work and as a result were awarded an A.C.E. grant to make a rural arts show (6-Impossible Things). This year we have been creating work for outdoors from the same pool of ideas, making work that challenges the conception of what is, or seems, Impossible.
Audiences wander amongst the honey-perfumed Bee Colony, occasionally cloaked in smoke, finding a variety ways of viewing and interacting with the contents. In each there is a surprising conceptual twist, which challenges, charms and confounds expectations – you may find yourself looking into the vastness of space, or teased by a telescopic hive soaring into the air.
