NO WORDS SHOW

Each perception of things that is not strange is false
Paul Valéry Telquel (Choses tues)

The Fragrance of Time is a poetic theatrical impression bearing reference to the world of childhood and inspired by the works by Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Hugo Claus and Emil Zegadlowicz, as well as the personal experience of the author and director of the production. Many colourful, at times dreadful and at times amusing characters and situations typical of a Polish small town from the 1920s and 1930s are presented here. However, all in all it is a universal tale about childhood, adolescence, fear and cruelty, as well as love.
The show contains no text but there is Peter Tchaikovsky’s music, some of it played live by the actors on harmonicas.
In the set there are also large mobile objects and the show makes use of fire, pyrotechnics and stilts.

The show has been presented in many cities in Poland as well as in Brasil, France, Germany, Holland, Iran, Italy, Mexico, South Korea, Tunisia and Ukraine.

The author of the script wishes to express his gratitude to Mr Zbigniew Sulkowski as without his well-disposed help, inspiring suggestions and written memoirs the creation of this production would not have been possible.
