Albert Ross used to be a famous seabird serving under Captain John Martin until one fatal night in the middle of summer, there was a terrible storm and the ship the “Soaring Eagle” was sunk and Captain Martin was never seen again.
Albert Ross managed to paddle painfully to the shore as he couldn’t fly.His wings were clipped while he was on the ship so that the crew could keep him as a mascot and, even if they had been intact, his wingfeathers were waterlogged when he was thrown into the waves. While he was swimming he gathered up the famous story fish which, unbeknown to him, would create his reputation around the world in the years to come.He took refuge in an old armchair which had been washed up on the shore, with vast amounts of seaweed tangled around it’s wooden legs, and fell into a deep dreamless sleep. Albert didnt wake up until he was found by a travelling sideshow, who took him under their wing. Now the show travels around the world bringing the magic of the storyfish to new audiences.
