The Princess is a mid-large scale spectacular yet intimate show with invited participation in the months leading up to, as well as during the show itself. It includes storytelling, composed live music, and use of local live radio waves, the awakening and elevation of a princess from a dark world to a great height, dance, innovative engineering and pyrotechnics. We aim to reclaim the eerie and surreal nature of the fairy-tale from the sentimental to the authentic, from Disney to the street!
The aim of this show is to reconnect people with the fairytales that we all know. We have all been told the Princess story as a child, perhaps we have told it to others. It is an archetype whose magic can evoke childhood fascination and a sense of awe. The Princess symbolises an awakening, the daring to dream.
There is a storytelling element whereby we work with local storytellers, as such the stories can be told in any language.
