The Protocol is a contemporary dance-theatre work where three unfortunate characters find themselves in an unwanted situation, they have been chosen to be the ambassadors for the first encounter between humans and unknown visitors. Their mission is to develop a strategy (a protocol) to understand the outsider and survive this peculiar meeting. The piece explores the themes of inner fears, contradictions, prejudices and empathy.
