Traveling Treasury draws is a successful collaboration between Vortex Creates and Highly Sprung, matching the beautiful and extraordinary design of Vortex Creates with Highly Sprung’s high-energy performance style and ability to interact with and engage new audiences.
Taking inspiration from the world of pop-up books, Traveling Treasury is a project that will transform any street corner, festival field or city centre space into a large scale pop-up book inviting audiences to become part of a story, lifted from the pages of alternative fairy tales, as it unfolds…..literally.

Providing audiences with an intriguing, never seen before experience where the space inside the caravan slowly transforms to become forests, dragons and cottages.
The first character audiences’ encounter is the Archivist. Outside the caravan the Archivist sets the scene and explains how the Traveling Treasury came to be.
On entering the caravan audiences meet the Travelling Treasury herself. Hidden in a world of paper, an illustration come to life, she entertains and enthralls audiences with a beautiful tale of love, loss and magic.
