You Told That Joke Twice is a project designed by three independent artists from the disciplines of video, photography and performance.
The focus of the creation is the composition of a video art that is born from a dramaturgical concept inspired by the public space and the city. From this concept comes a new character with aesthetic, physical and psychological characteristics created exclusively for this video by Rui Paixão. Days of recording take place in the public space of the city where the great goal of André Costa Santos and Mariana Machado is to collect as many filmed and photographed images of this character’s relationship with the city’s architecture, iconic locations, interaction with the inhabitants, the history, the future, the real and the imaginary.
At the end of this creative process the result will be a video-art (duration to be determined with the festival’s production team) to be disseminated according to your interests: Social Networks, Youtube, Television, Marketing and Advertising, Cinema, Video mapping, Gallery…
As well as photographic material of artistic expression and the possibility of a conversation with the public based on the artistic objects launched.
