Compañía de Circo “eia” sees the light in 2009 as a fusion between several artists: Armando Rabanera, Fabrizio Giannini and Cristiano Della Monica (Cirque Vague, Circo de la Sombra and Le Grand Osim Orchestra) and Francesca Lissia and Celso Pereira (Celso y Frana). After 5 years of artistic experience as a collective (CAPAS, the company’s first creation, toured all over Europe playing over 150 times in 12 countries) the moment came to investigate other possibilities, inviting other artists to join the team in order to take part in two new projects: Espera, outdoor circus show, and inTarsi, indoor circus show.
”In a era where difference is often seen as a problem, we seek to make our particularities a strength and a source of invention to be explored over a period of truly collective research, as a reflection of the colour and variety of the world we live in.”
Compañía de Circo ”eia” was awarded the Barcelona City Prize in 2011, ”to the show CAPAS, for the risk undertaken in circus research and innovation”.
inTarsi received the Special Prize of the Jury at the VIIª Edition of Zirkolika Awards of Catalonia 2016
inTarsi has been awarded with the MAX Award (id. Tony or Olivier Award) as Outstanding New Show 2017
