Mimbre create nuanced, breathtaking and highly-skilled acrobatic theatre. We use circus and dance innovatively as a physical language to illuminate human connections and promote a positive image of women.
With an artistic voice that is physical and accessible, Mimbre build relationships with broad, non-traditional audiences and participants, creating unexpected moments in unusual spaces and reclaiming some beauty within the urban environment. Our performances and participation programme reach beyond social, financial and cultural boundaries and find fresh ways to engage encourage and inspire people, showing that the impossible can be possible on a local, national and international level.
Mimbre was formed in 1999 when Emma Norin, Lina Johansson and Silvia Fratelli graduated from Circus Space. The acrobats challenge the circus stereotype of a big base throwing a little flyer in the air, achieving high technical standard through clever techniques and hard training.

Option 1 focuses more on the discipline of acrobatics and acrobalance and taking a healthy approach to intense training. Option 2 offers a more general approach to using physicality in theatrical contexts in different ways. Both masterclasses develop the technical and expressive skills of participants and help to enhance their career in the performing arts.
