Trigger is led by female Global Majority Co-Directors and award-winning producers Angie Bual and Natalie Adams, and makers of The Hatchling experienced by a live audience of over 30,000 in Plymouth, PoliNations commissioned as part of Unboxed and closing the Commonwealth Games in 2022, and Health Tech Awards Finalist WithYou.
Trigger are shapeshifting creatives who dream-up, create and produce bold and brave live and digital events. They interrupt daily life, reimagine and revive public spaces, and put audiences and togetherness at the heart of everything they do. Their work is accessible, inclusive and boundary pushing, and is often large-scale and often outdoors.
Trigger are one of the 10 lead collectives for UNBOXED: Creativity in the UK, with a new cultural project of scale – PoliNations, an epic pop-up garden of magical proportions coming to Edinburgh & Birmingham this summer. They created the world’s first flying puppet, ‘The Hatchling’ which premiered in Plymouth in 2021 and will lead the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebration Pageant in 2022. Trigger are also the creators and producers of WithYou, a digital service connecting people isolated in hospitals or care homes with their loved ones. Trigger are breaking the boundaries of the traditional R&D process, connecting creatives from across the globe online to unpack the tangled history of biopiracy with GROW.
