We are launching an open call for UK-based, outdoor dance artists and companies to feature in our Outdoor Dance Collection 2021 catalogue.
The catalogue is part of Birmingham International Dance Festival‘s brand new Outdoor Dance Collection 2021, a programme of events for professional delegates and artists in the dance and outdoor arts industry.
The ODC21 catalogue will feature a curated selection of new and existing outdoor dance shows, chosen by a panel of representatives from XTRAX, DanceXchange, Dance4 and an independent artist.
This is a fantastic opportunity to introduce your work to some of the best national and international producers, promoters and organisations in the industry. Hosted online, the catalogue will be promoted to national and international delegates attending the showcase, as well as on our website and across social media.
About the Outdoor Dance Collection 2021
The Outdoor Dance Collection 2021 is a dance and outdoor arts industry programme of events for professional delegates and artists and includes the UK Dance Showcase (3-4 June) and Dance & The Outdoors Symposium (8-9 June).
The ODC21: UK Dance Showcase is devised and delivered in partnership with XTRAX as part of the international showcase programme Platform 4:UK; Dance4 as part of Dance from England; and DanceXchange, producers of BIDF. The event will offer opportunities for artists, programmers and professionals working in outdoor dance to attend panel discussions, training, artist pitching sessions and network with UK and international colleagues, all available via a virtual event platform.
We will be opening registrations and announcing the full showcase programme in May.
This activity is supported by Platform 4:UK, XTRAX’s Arts Council of England funded project for International collaboration in outdoor arts.
