XTRAX announces two International showcases in Stockton-on-Tees and Hull

XTRAX is delighted to announce two International Showcases taking place this summer.

From the 1st August – 4th August we will be delivering our Showcase at the Stockton International Riverside Festival (SIRF), one of the longest established UK outdoor festivals that always attracts festival promoters from around the world.

A programme of at least 42 companies is confirmed and includes

  • Two large scale spectacles including the UK premiere of Hotel Watercage by Theatre Tol (BE) and Drôles d’Oiseux by Générik Vapeur (FR)
  • 27 UK shows
  • 14 new shows supported by Without Walls
  • 14 international shows from France, Spain, South Korea, Finland, Switzerland and Belgium

  • An Introduction to East Asian Outdoor Arts Panel Discussion with delegates from Japan, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and Korea supported by Asia-Europe Foundation and Department for International Trade

  • XTRAX Shorts – pitches from artists about new work in development
  • Receptionsdiscussions and networking meetings
  • Opportunities to meet and network with promoters, festival directors, artists and producers from across Europe, Asia and beyond

From the 30th August to the 1st September, we will be in Hull for the XTRAX & Freedom Festival International Showcase 2019

Building on last year’s success, which attracted 129 delegates from 9 countries, we are partnering with Freedom Festival for the second time to bring our International Showcase to Hull.

Freedom Festival has one of the largest outdoor programmes of any UK festival. It is unique in its exploration of Freedom and themes such as democracy, equality and protest through its programme of performances, talks, seminars and lectures on international human rights.

Freedom Festival is a contemporary vision of an outdoor arts festival, where digital performances stand side by side with dance, circus and street theatre.
