XTRAX in Georgia and Korea, October 2019

This October, XTRAX was represented at international professional events in Georgia and Korea.

Elena Cavallero, Project Manager and Digital Development, had a successful trip to the Tbilisi International Festival Of Theatre, Georgia. Complementing the large programme of Georgian and international theatre and outdoor arts, she attended a professional programme focussing on digital arts, including presentations from Ars Electronica, Studio Wayne McGregor, Academy for Theatre and Digital (Dortmund) and European Theatre Convention

Additionally, Irene Segura, International Relations and Artist Development, was invited to Seoul Street Arts Festival. Over four days, the festival included a professional programme that saw Irene visit Seoul Street Arts Creation Centre and a day of pitches and networking with Korean outdoor artists and key stakeholders such as the Korea Arts Management Service (KAMS) and the Korean Foundation for International Cultural Exchange (KOFICE).

After the festival, Irene stayed in the city to attend PAMS (Performing Arts Market Seoul) which included participating in professional sessions, delivering a pitch on British Street Arts and hosting a stand in the marketplace.

These events presented the opportunities to make over 50 new contacts, opening doors to new conversations with colleagues from around the world.

We’d to extend our thanks to Seoul Street Arts Festival, PAMS and Tbilisi International Festival Of Theatre for the warm welcomes and fantastic opportunities to connect with old and new colleagues, experience different cultures and see some excellent outdoor work!
