XTRAX showcases are designed to support professionals working in all areas of the outdoor arts and facilitate meeting and networking; help artists and practitioners building contacts that can contribute to the development and touring of their work; enable festival producers, presenters and others involved in outdoor arts to see shows that they may want to present or support.
This past summer, after two years of showcase activity online, we were delighted to resume our showcases in person, along with a rich online programme. We collaborated with Birmingham International Dance Festival (BIDF) and Stockton International Riverside Festival (SIRF), creating friendly and welcoming events, with opportunities for delegates to see great new work, discuss issues of importance to our sector and build networks in the UK, Europe and beyond.

Stockton International Riverside Festival (SIRF)
XTRAX/SIRF 2022 Outdoor Arts Showcase: 3-7 August
Wednesday 3 August: Online programme including 14 artists pitching their work, with a virtual panel discussion and networking opportunities
Thursday 4 – Sunday 7 August: live festival and in person events in Stockton-on-Tees

Birmingham International Dance Festival (BIDF)
Outdoor Dance Showcase: 22-25 June
Wednesday 22 June: online programme including nine pitches about new work with a virtual panel discussion and networking opportunities
Thursday 23 – Saturday 25 June: live festival and in person events in Birmingham
