KAF (Kidderminster Arts Festival)

KAF (Kidderminster Arts Festival) started life in 2003 with audiences of 2000, handed over to Loz Samuels in 2005 it now has audiences of over 27,000. Over recent years the programme has been curated around a commissioned central site specific installation, which have varied from video mapping to an indoor forest created from carpet factory waste. These installations are inspired by the towns vision for change, as tools for consultation around plans for major physical development over the next 2 years, or for interpreting its heritage with a contemporary twist. The programme is expanded by the contribution of a growing range of partners and artists. The festival growths from strength to strength each year and has become the showcase event for the District Council with a programme including local and national work, indoor and outdoor, exhibitions, shows and more.
