DiGM is Greater Manchester’s central dance organisation providing a whole range of opportunities for dance. We work to increase access to dance and profile dance in the area. We work with dance artists and companies, arts organisations, community groups, venues, local authorities and funders. We deliver projects, workshops, residencies, commissions and performance opportunities.
Examples of current projects include Danceworks, an annual community dance showcase; Signatures an annual youth dance showcase, Pro-Active weekly professional level contemporary classes; Pro-Active Plus – a programme of one off workshops for professional dancers with visiting touring companies, Connect – a networking and training membership scheme for Greater Manchester based professional dance artists; Dance Train – a series fo training events for professional dance artists; community programmes increasing access to dance to specific communities including older people and young men.
