Event International (EI) is a dedicated festivals and events organisation formed in 1999 which undertakes consultancy, event creation, programme curation and production work. As an events company EI is unusual in that 90% of its clients are public sector bodies and it has unrivalled experience of organising large budget events with attendances in the tens of thousdands.
Over the past 14 years EI has led on major projects inside and outside the region including Newcastle’s highly successful Millenium Eve Celebrations, Newcastle Gateshead’s Tall Ships Eve of Parade of Sail event in summer 2005, the launch event for Leeds Millenium Square (2000), the Grand Welcome for the World Culture Summit in Baltic Square (2006), the Festival of British Humour, Park of the Nations, Lisbon (2001) and the Beijgin Chaoyang International Spring Carnival, which is now the largest outdoor ticketed event in China.
