Karen’s current work focuses on outdoor arts: dance, performance, storytelling, installation, sound, bicycles, recycling and participation. She seeks to create exciting interactions between artists, communities and audiences and to transform perceptions of ordinary, everyday places.
Her work builds on 12 years of producing outdoor work for Zap Art, including developing over 100 outdoor arts festivals and events, and producing a wide range of UK and international commissions in collaboration with local artists and communities, as part of the Virtual Creation Centre and PECA partnership.
