La Maleta manages Circus and Puppet companies from Catalonia.
The agency began its activity in 2008 and nowadays we are representing 12 well recognized companies, performing around 20 shows, and covering national and international markets.
Step by step, La Maleta has been increasing its presence in the international market scene, attending fairs and festivals such as Greenwich and Docklands International Festival, UK; the Kulturboerse Freiburg in Germany (attending and presenting proposals since 2012); Festival d’Aurillac, France; Festival d’Avignon France; Namur in May, Belgium; Spoffin, Holland; or City of Wings Ypres, Belgium.
Since 2011, La Maleta manages its own space at Fira Tàrrega, an exclusive showcase opportunity for the Circus and Puppet companies members of La Maleta.
Thanks to these opportunities, those companies have performed all around the world, in Spain, France, Belgium, Holland, Italy, Germany, Poland, Luxembourg, Portugal, Hungary, in regular bases, as well as, in Colombia, Israel, Mexico, USA and Russia.
Currently,
La Maleta is focusing in the UK scene, coming back to Greenwich & Docklands International Festival, and presenting “El Nïu” by Dudu & Cia at the Fuse Medway (13th June), and “Collage” by Bot Project at the Be Festival, Birmingham (24thJune).
