Nelly the Obby Oss, is our puppet Hobby Horse; an animated puppet head, mounted on a tricycle chassis and has been engineered to fully engage with audiences: Nelly can nibble out of hands, rear up above heads, blink her eyes and wiggle her ears.
She wanders the streets and loves to meet people & make new friends; hunting for rusty treasure, stopping off for a sneaky drink and a spot of nosebag, and getting into scrapes.
The Obby Oss is operated by 2 puppeteers and can also be accompanied by a performer/musician.
The Obby Oss travels in a Transit van & takes 1-2hours to rig & we can do 3 x 45minute walkabouts a day. It is also ideal for parades & processions through streets & festival sites. We are flexible & willing to negotiate appearances appropriate for each event.
