Global Bridges

Developing new pathways for UK outdoor arts across Europe and Asia.

Global Bridges is a bold new three-year programme, funded by Arts Council England, that develops international opportunities for UK outdoor arts companies.  Opening new pathways into Europe and Asia, and pioneering sustainable models of exchange.

Across a three-year period, Global Bridges will deliver international commissions, residencies and showcases as well as offering producer placements and training seminars.

GB CREATE 

Ambitious new commissions and residencies between UK & international companies, building artistic relationships that go beyond a single performance.

Projects in the pipeline: HERO: a co-creation between Company Chameleon (UK) and TS Crew (Hong Kong), and a UK-Korean artist residency.

 

GB SHOWCASE

Providing exposure for artists to UK and international promoters at carefully chosen, high profile festivals. 

Current platforms for showcase include: Stockton International Riverside Festival (SIRF)*, Inside Out Dorset*, FITS Sibiu (Romania), Cratère Surfaces (France), City of Wings (Belgium) and La Mercè (Barcelona).

GB CONNECT

The seedbed for lasting partnerships, embedding international producers within the XTRAX team, delivering training and seminars for artists and producers, connecting artists and promoters worldwide through the XTRAX international directory. 

Current plans include: Producer placements from Japan and Taiwan, expansion of the XTRAX international directory which already hosts over 2,000 profiles, and training for UK artists on international touring.
