Founded in 1997, Garlic Theatre is a Visual Theatre Company that uses image, puppet animation, movement and live music to create theatre productions of artistic excellence. We aim to challenge, entertain and stimulate people of all ages through work which encourages imaginative play and develops a new awareness of the power of puppet animation. The Company specialises in thought provoking work for young people which is also stimulating and exciting for adults.
Garlic Theatre is proud to work with different directors, musicians and designers to continually refine and experiment with new performance techniques. The Company has worked with directors Mark Bell, Shaun Myatt, Roland Allen, Andras Lennart, Bob Pearce and currently with Steve Tiplady. The Company works closely with designer Michaela Bartonova from Tineola Theatre and with musicians Jonathan Lambert and Rosie Toll.
