Kameloso is a circus collective from Germany, France, Sweden and Denmark specialised in Chinese pole, slack rope, vertical rope, static trapeze and tight wire, working at integrating these circus skills into a context where they become a purpose and necessity.
Kameloso began life as a creation project within the Academy for Circus and Performance Arts ACaPa in Tilburg, Netherlands. A first creative research took place in late 2015 in Tilburg. This initial research focused on exploring the meeting ground between the seven members.
As a collective, Kameloso is creating through a process of shared leadership. In their research, they are focusing on finding solutions for self-implicated restrictions to create new technical material, on dissolving the classical act-based structure and including the group into all scenes.
Using improvisations, theatre games and physical games, Kameloso is discovering and defining artistic materials, the character development and an unpredictable setting for the final show.
