Markmark is one of Britain’s leading festival and street theatre companies. Formed in 1990 it continues to develop new, cutting edge and creative performances for many different audiences.
Trained by Jacques Lecoq and Philippe Gaulier the actors use a variety of techniques that bring an intuitive, anarchic yet charming humour to all their work.
The shows have always been very visual and very funny.
From its roots in Commedia and physical theatre Markmark has developed its own style by fusing various comic elements from farce to panto.
Static shows include’Zigmund and Froyd’, ‘Robin Retired’, ‘Edmund Hilary’s Tall Tales’ and the award winning ‘Maniax’ (Street Entertainers of the Year).
