We’re delighted to announce that XTRAX Project Manager, Irene Segura, has been elected to join Circostrada Network’s Steering Committee.
The Circostrada Network works to develop and structure the fields of Circus and Street Arts in Europe and beyond. With more than 100 members from over 30 countries, it contributes to a sustainable future for these sectors by empowering cultural players through the production of resources and actions of observation and research, professional exchanges, advocacy, capacity-building and information.
Irene was elected during the last General Meeting of the network, which took place from December 5-7, 2018 in Elbeuf (France), co-organised with Cirque Théâtre d’Elbeuf, in partnership with Atelier 231 and together with CircusNext, and joins several other key street arts professionals:
- Antonia Kuzmanic (Room 100, Croatia)
- Mara Pavula (Rigas Cirks, Latvia)
- Mike Ribalta (FiraTàrrega, Spain)
- Heba El Cheikh (Mahatat For Contemporary Art, Egypt)
- Gwénola David (Artcena, France)
- Lotta Vaulo (Circusinfo Finland, Finland)
As part of the Steering Committee, Irene and the rest of the committee will work with the Coordination Team to define, design and implement the strategic direction of the network.
