See As The World Tipped this weekend at WE WONDER Noir

We are excited to share with you the news that Wired Aerial Theatre will perform two shows of As The World Tipped on November 9 & 10. This is part of WE Wonder Noir Festival, presented by WE Great Place in partnership with Wentworth Woodhouse.

Produced by XTRAX, As The World Tipped, written and directed by Nigel Jamieson, one of the world’s leading creators of outdoor spectacle (Sydney Olympics, Liverpool Capital of Culture), is regarded as one of the finest large-scale outdoor shows to have been made in the UK. It has been performed over 50 times to audiences across the UK and festivals in France, Germany, Australia, Chile, South Korea, Italy and more.

Combining dramatic film and visuals with breath-taking aerial performance, As The World Tipped confronts one of the most pressing issues for the planet with spectacle, humour and emotion. At the Copenhagen Climate Change conference, harassed staff fail to notice as the world around them, literally and metaphorically, slides toward disaster.

Thingumajig Theatre’s Ghost Caribou, Highly Sprung’s Urban Astronaut and other acclaimed companies such as A Bird in the Hand Theatre and Cocoloco will also be at the festival. These high-quality shows add to a fantastic programme of outdoor work.

This will be the first time that As The World Tipped has been performed in the UK after an extended period touring internationally, so don’t miss this rare opportunity to see this extraordinary show in the UK.

Maggie Clarke (Director), Irene Segura (International Relations & Artist Development) and Elena Cavallero (Project Manager & Digital Development) from XTRAX will be on hand to discuss the availability of the show for future touring opportunities.
