The first Winter Carnival is planned for November 2017 starting with an evening parade through the town from the train station leading to installations in the park and Spanish City Plaza from 4pm til 10pm on the day.
The event will be themed to match the Whitley Bay May Carnival ‘Wild’ in 2017 and aims to be a two day event in 2018
