This panel discussion was part of the online UK Dance Showcase in Birmingham International Dance Festival’s Outdoor Dance Collection 2021. The session was chaired by Joe Bates (Interim Director of Touring & Dance at Arts Council England) with Gilles Doré (Director of International Development at CINARS) and Monique Martin (independent curator, producer and marketing consultant) on outdoor dance and the festival scene across North America.
We hosted this discussion to kickstart conversations, share information and build partnerships between UK and North American festivals, promoters artists and companies.
The ODC21: UK Dance Showcase was a brand new showcase programme that took place online 3-4 June 2021 as part of Birmingham International Dance Festival‘s Outdoor Dance Collection 2021, devised and delivered in partnership with XTRAX as part of the international showcase programme Platform 4:UK; Dance4 as part of Dance from England; and DanceXchange, producers of BIDF.
