Becky Namgauds

Originally from Cheshire, Becky is a choreographer, dancer and movement director based in London.
Her training began in Tae Kwon Do and Gymnastics before training in Hip Hop, and later discovering Contemporary Dance and Capoeira. In recent years she began developing her own choreographic works which infuse her practices.
Becky is a DanceXchange Choreography Award holder for 2018 and is also proud to be a panel member of Woman SRSLY, a female ran platform for female led performance work curated by Grace Nicol.
Becky was recently one of four choreographers who collaborated with Hofesh Shechter on East Wall in July 2018, an outdoor dance performance at the Tower of London, produced by East London Dance and Hofesh Shechter Company, and supported by Historical Royal Palaces, LIFT, London College of Fashion and University of East London and funded by Arts Council England.
Performances of her own work include; Like Honey; RodaDoras at East Wall Warm Up produced by Hofesh Shechter & East London Dance; Exhibit F; Ruby commissioned for DanceGen Students in Birmingham, Severed Dreams later commissioned by Tony Adigun for Dance Umbrella.
Her most recent work Rodadoras will be touring in 2019 in the UK and Internationally.
​Becky choreographed the “It’s Easier” music video for Nimmo, has worked with Fleur East as dance coach and choreographer and was also assistant choreographer and dance coach for Sharleen Spiteri of TEXAS in 2016.
Becky delivers workshops nationally and internationally for various groups including professional dancers and young people and is a guest lecturer at Wolverhampton University specialising in technique and repertoire modules.
