I organise Devizes Carnival which takes place at the end of August each year. The carnival is a growing event with an extensive programme of community-based costume-making, samba and circus training workshops. We are supported by Arts Council England. Among two weeks of carnival-related activities we produce Devizes International Street Festival on August Bank Holiday Monday, one of the largest, one-day festivals of Street Arts and music in the SW region. I’m director of the Devizes Christmas Festival which Christmas markets, Lantern Parade, music and street performances. I also work freelance as a consultant and organiser for carnival, community arts events and street theatre.
