XTRAX worked with SIRF to offer a programme of professional networking events alongside the festival on 3-6 August 2023.
Delegates enjoyed the programme of 30+ shows from UK and international companies, as well as selected networking events and presentations.
On Friday there was an opportunity to meet the Without Walls network with representatives from Without Walls staff as well as partner festivals sharing information about current and future plans.
On Saturday we had an Introduction to Street Arts in South Korea delivered by Korean producer Jin Yim, including presentations from Jong Yeon Yoon, Artistic Director of Ansan Festival, Youngsun Cho, Programme Director for Seoul Street Arts Festival, and Lorna Rees, Artistic Director of Gobbledegook Theatre.

Jen Cleary introduced the work of Arts Info Point – a partnership initiative of the 4 Arts Councils and cultural agencies of the UK, designed to offer free, practical and reliable resources and information around international cultural mobility. https://linktr.ee/artsinfopointuk

Hannah Brady introduced Squid Soup’s project, The Power of Art.

The Power of Art is a R&D project, supported by SIRF and Arts Council, aiming to find flexible and sustainable solutions for powering digital artworks, large and small, in any outdoor situation. The project uses second life electric car batteries, combined with solar energy to power digital artworks.
Judita Strumilaite, Director of Spot Festival in Vilnius, shared information about her festival and the street arts sector in Lithuania.

Alfred Konijnenbelt, Director of Spoffin Festival (in Amersfoort in Netherlands) introduced the Spoffin festival, which also offers a “showcase” programme and is attended by some Dutch and international delegates. https://spoffin.eu
