Led by neurodivergent artistic directors Laura Vanhulle and Oliver Russell, Vanhulle Dance theatre is a National and International touring company, based in the Fenlands.

Vanhulle Dance Theatre creates highly physical, emotive and thought-provoking shows, fusing contemporary dance and martial arts. Connecting to our audiences is at the heart of what we do. We deliver professional classes and workshops across the UK and Europe, helping to develop and nurture aspiring performers. We bring high quality dance performances and workshops to schools, libraries, rural communities and Theatres, introducing thousands of people to dance.
Vanhulle Dance Theatre are most well known for their outdoor shows Olive Branch and Dovetail, both shows toured Nationally and Internationally. The company are currently touring their Family Friendly Outdoor show Olive Branch to outdoor arts festivals such as Out There Festival, City of Wings (Ypres), Latitude, Mouth of Tyne and First Light Festival, to name a few. The company also tour their shows to libraries, village halls and schools. In 2024 The Place commissioned Vanhulle Dance Theatre to create Olive Branch…Playground edition, which has toured to schools across the UK. So far this year they have performed Olive Branch 93 times, reaching over 20,000 people.
